Our Mission...

The Chester County Community Foundation connects people who care with the causes that matter, so their legacies can make a difference forever. We encourage people from all walks of life to create or contribute to lasting charitable funds.

what is a community foundation...

The Community Foundation provides a means to build a substantial amount of money over time from the contributions of people of significant wealth and modest means, and to use the income from these funds, in the form of grants, to meet the community’s charitable needs now and into the future. The Community Foundation has three unique features:
Local expertise
Personalized service
Community convener

About us...

Since 1994, the Community Foundation has actively partnered with donors who believe that positive change occurs through effective charitable giving. Today, we manage more than 275 charitable funds started by individuals, families, businesses and nonprofit organizations. Together, these funds represent ordinary people who have made extraordinary commitments to our community. The Community Foundation is a resource for now and for the future. We invite you to learn more about us and join us in our work.

legacy awards...
The Community Foundation established the Let Your Legacy Make A Difference Awards to highlight philanthropic good works and to inspire more through Chester County.
This year, Robert & Jennifer McNeil are the recipients of the 10th annual Jordan Award, recognizing outstanding philanthropic leadership.

exclusively yours...
The Community Foundation is delighted to be selected as the beneficiary of Exclusively Chester County, a publication of Landmark Marketing Inc. To learn more about the highly regarded business professionals and companies profiled in the 2009 publication, please click here.

Ben franklin legacy society...

The Ben Franklin Legacy Society recognizes all those who have notified the Chester County Community Foundation that they have included any fund of the Community Foundation in their will or other deferred giving plan.

The Society derives its name from the Benjamin Franklin Trust which Ben himself set up in the 1790's, to be distributed 200 years after his death.  Two centuries later in 1996, Chester County Community Foundation's first planned gift was a portion of this original trust.
