What is a Community Foundation?

The Community Foundation provides a means to build a substantial amount of money over time from the contributions of people of significant wealth and modest means, and to use the income from these funds, in the form of grants, to meet the community’s charitable needs now and into the future.

 The Community Foundation has three unique features:

  Local expertise about important projects and programs that are making a significant difference in Chester County           

Personalized service to donors who want to maximize the impact of their contribution; and

Community convener for issues that require the role of a neutral facilitator to be addressed effectively.
