Your initial and future contributions are deductible in the year the
gift is made, even though you may take several years to decide how the money
should be distributed.
Because CCCF is a public charity, your gift
receives the maximum value allowed by law.
You will not be taxed on the
growth of assets in your fund. Contributions of appreciated securities or real
estate are always calculated at their full current value for deductibility
purposes, and are free from capital gains taxes.
Others can make a gift
to the fund you create, and for doing so, they will receive a timely
acknowledgement for tax purposes from CCCF.
The Chester County
Community Foundation is a non-profit Pennsylvania corporation exempt from
taxation under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3), a public charity
described in section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Code.
