Janet P. Shaner Memorial Scholarship Fund

About this Fund..
This Scholarship Fund was created in tribute to former West Chester Area School District educator, Dr. Janet P. Shaner.  As a mentor, teacher, coach, building administrator, superintendent and cherished friend to many, Janet is fondly remembered for her positive attitude, unselfish generosity, creative leadership and infectious enthusiasm.  In an effort to recognize Dr. Shaner’s significant contributions, this scholarship was initiated in 2002.

Mission Statement...
By making an impact on the West Chester Area school system in an effort to continue her legacy, this scholarship fund will offer a one-year scholarship of $1,000 to three female graduating students from East, Henderson, or Rustin High Schools.
