Gettysburg Address Contest
2011...

Sponsored by
the Borough of West Chester Historical and Architectural Review Board, seven
middle school students recited President Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg
Address. They spoke from the balcony of the historic Lincoln Biography
Building to an enthusiastic audience gathered on the street below. Event
founder and Master of Ceremonies, Bob Gross, presented the students with a
commemorative Lincoln medal, and State Sen. Andrew Dinniman’s staff
presented certificates to each participant.
Joe Martino, event
organizer, noted “Each
of the students did a great job in delivering the speech from the balcony of
the Lincoln Building to the crowd gathered below on Market Street."
