About Jeremy...
Jeremy was a bright, beautiful and happy boy; a triplet with
two sisters, Laurel and Claire. He was a very conscientious student
who truly loved school, never wanting to miss a single day. Jeremy had
many varied interests including Star Wars, building Legos, fishing, music,
playing the cello, technology and skiing. He was a proud Boy Scout and
was very dedicated to fundraising for his school, church and community.
On August 29, 2007, at the age of 10, Jeremy was diagnosed with
undifferentiated sarcoma of the liver with lung metastases after just three
weeks of symptoms. Sarcoma is a very rare and severe form of cancer in
both children and adults. His chances of survival at diagnosis were
only 17-20% (1 in 5). Jeremy bravely endured 13 months of increasingly
difficult treatments, including chemotherapy and its side effects and
multiple surgeries.
Sadly, Jeremy lost his cancer battle on October 5, 2008 at the age of 11
1/2, partially due to limited research and treatment options available for
this rare type of cancer, and partially due to inadequate government funding
allocated for childhood cancer research.
Jeremy fought his disease with great strength, grace, courage and
determination, always maintaining his wonderful, positive, goal seeking
attitude and keeping his beautiful smile intact. He lived his 11 1/2
years to the fullest. Jeremy was a very special and remarkable boy,
who truly loved his family, friends, school and life itself. He left
this world much too young and much too soon. Jeremy has become a true
inspiration to everyone who knew him, even those who have only heard his
story.

Mission Statement...

Love of Learning by enabling other students to pursue higher education, and
