The
Neighborhood Event of the Year... After all the race events for every member of your family, from Tiny Tussle (ages 5 and under) to a 5 K Run and Walk, we celebrate everyone's victory with a "good old-fashioned" block party, including great food and music all afternoon. We are looking forward to a fantastic day with fun with our families, meeting old friends, making new ones, and supporting our honorees.
The Romig Road Victory Run Fund is administered by the
Chester County Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable
organization. All contributions to the Romig Road Victory Run
are tax deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.
This Year's Story... In June 2003, at the age of 6, Christopher Anthony was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma cancer. His long, difficult, and courageous battle proved worthy enough to defeat this terrible disease. Today, 12-year-old Christopher has been cancer-free for 4 years! This year's event will also honor the Dave Barbato family of the Steeplechase Road community of the Romig Road neighborhoods. A few years ago Dave's wife, Liz, lost her battle with cervical cancer.
Run proceeds
benefit the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)
where Christopher spent a great deal of time during his
chemotherapy treatments and operations. Christopher's
continued wish is to help improve the Oncology playroom at CHOP
with toys, books, art supplies, and video games. He knows
first hand the joy these items bring to the children undergoing
painful treatments and to their families supporting them. Sponsorships and Donations...
Please help us "change lives one mile at a time," by allowing us
to help others win some of life's most difficult battles. Your
generous contribution will make a difference. The 4th Annual Romig Road Victory Run...
