 The Mesothelioma and Asbestos Disease Society Fund



Mission Statement...
The primary purpose of this fund shall be to make distributions for charitable purposes to non-profit agencies and other charitable causes related to mesothelioma and asbestos diseases, as recommended by the Fund Advisor and approved by the Board of the Community Foundation.

Recent Events...

A blood study will be held to further mesothelioma research
Date: Thursday September 16, 2010
Time: 3-7:00 pm
Place: Paoli Hospital, Outpatient Lab
255 W. Lancaster Avenue. Paoli, PA.

Participants should answer yes to one or more of the following:
1) I have been exposed to asbestos
2) I have lived & or worked  with someone who has been exposed
3) I am related to someone who has been exposed to asbestos

Participants incur no cost for this blood test.  Each participant speaks with Dr. Menges or Dr. Chaung. Each participant is given results of this test and, if indicated, will receive follow up testing at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

The research team of Joseph Testa, PhD., Fox Chase Cancer Center continues the Meso blood test study to gain FDA approval to diagnose mesothelioma; known as asbestos cancer.   This blood test has been FDA approved to monitor those already diagnosed. Your participation is important to further validate this test.
