This fund was created in honor of Francis J. Snyder. Born on August 1, 1920, Mr. Snyder started work in the factory in which his father worked in 1938, married Loretta Ryan in 1948, raised 9 children, and retired from that factory in 1982. Since that time, he has picked up over 50,000 beer cans and has sent the entire proceeds to Catholic missionaries working in less developed countries around the world for the support of those less fortunate.

   The purpose of this Fund shall be to make distributions for charitable purposes to nonprofit organizations and other charitable causes as recommended by the Fund Advisors and approved by the Board of the Community Foundation.
