Caroline Gallagher Cranston
Memorial Fund

Mission...
Caroline’s family will award grants and scholarships to the causes Caroline
valued most. Among other charitable initiatives, The Caroline Gallagher
Cranston Memorial Fund will make an annual scholarship award in her honor to
a graduating senior from Caroline’s alma mater, Henderson High School.
About Caroline...
Caroline graduated from Henderson High School in 2002. While at Henderson,
Caroline was part of the championship soccer and lacrosse teams. She went on
to receive her bachelor's and master's degrees in environmental science and management (magna cum laude) from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
At Duquesne, Caroline continued her lacrosse career.
She was most recently employed as an environmental specialist for US Airways
in
Philadelphia
and enjoyed being a contributing member to the BLUER committee
dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in West Chester.
Caroline Gallagher Cranston passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, at her home
with family
at her side.
Throughout her life Caroline was an inspiration to those around her.
She
embraced living every day with a positive spirit — most notably
in the last
21 months while she courageously battled leukemia.
Caroline's compassionate
and selfless personality positively impacted
each and every person she
encountered in her brief life.
She particularly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling,
watching and
playing all sports and, of course, hugging her dog, Karmen.
